On Wednesday evening I was asked to perform at a big charity fundraiser with Victor Michael and the Three Sopranos. I didn't realise before I got there... but it was a pretty big gig.
FORMER PREMIER League referee Mark Halsey was hosting a special ball at Emirates Old Trafford to raise funds and awareness for the Mark Halsey Fund which supports The Christie Hospital. The Red Card Ball was held at The Point in Old Trafford Cricket Ground and was attended by some of the top names in football, including David Moyes, Manuel Pellegrini, Brendan Rogers, Gerard Houllier and Roberto Martinez. Bolton-based Halsey, who is now a pundit for BT Sport after hanging up his whistle , successfully beat cancer in 2009 and has written a book, Added Time, about his years in refereeing which has recently been published. The event, which included a four-course dinner, was hosted by Darren Fletcher and sports commentator John Gwynne. I have some pictures below that you can take a look at. My favourite pictures are of all the football Managers dancing along and then the standing ovation at the end. This was a really special night for me. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to Graham Moreton for being the Official photographer of the evening. www.tarleton-photography.co.uk
