A 1950s American diner was the set for our opera scenes on Feb 20th at the Royal College of Music's Britten Theatre. I was dressed in black as The Governess from Benjamin Britten's The Turn of the Screw. In my scene, I am the Governess of a young girl called Flora and we head out for an afternoon break away from the haunted house, when I think I see the ghost of Miss Jessel who was the Governess before me. Other scenes by Sullivan, Purcell and Others were much lighter and got the audience laughing.
