Yesterday I received the most magnificent letter in the post. It was a letter from Jeffery Benton Vocal Consultant to the Mario Lanza Educational Foundation. The letter notified me that I have been selected for a small bursary to support my studies at the Royal College of Music.
The letter was so wonderful that it actually reduced me to tears. Here is a just a small quote from it: "[...] I know voices, and your voice is a wonderful instrument, precisely focuses, bang in tune, with a rich middle and lower register, a thrilling upper, and a flexibility that only a correctly placed voice can achieve. I love the care on entries, such care and love of your art filled my soul with emotional admiration." The whole letter is much longer, and after I read it I was left completely speechless. Thank you to the MLEF. What fantastic work they do in supporting young singers! x >>>>>DOWNLOAD FOLK SONGS E.P.<<<<<
Hello! Great to see you again :)
FOLK SONGS is a fun project I had the pleasure of recording with harpist Bethan Griffiths. It is a selection of Greek folk songs sung in French as arranged by Maurice Ravel, and in English as arranged by Benjamin Britten. I have decided to make these recordings available to you to download for an optional donation. Following on from my debut EP Simple Gifts, I am continuing to fundraise for my studies at the Royal College of Music in London. The album artwork is a stunning moment captured by Oliver Wright Photography. The photograph is of an arctic frozen bubble reflecting a glimmer of aurora borealis - something that totally amazed and inspired me. I felt compelled to match it to the unique soundscape that voice and harp create together. Once you have downloaded these songs, SHARE, TWEET, BLOG, GIVE. Send with it my message of music for everyone. Peace, Love and Music, Jennifer www.jennifer-coleman.co.uk Facebook | Twitter | Youtube
