Yesterday I received the most magnificent letter in the post. It was a letter from Jeffery Benton Vocal Consultant to the Mario Lanza Educational Foundation. The letter notified me that I have been selected for a small bursary to support my studies at the Royal College of Music.
The letter was so wonderful that it actually reduced me to tears. Here is a just a small quote from it: "[...] I know voices, and your voice is a wonderful instrument, precisely focuses, bang in tune, with a rich middle and lower register, a thrilling upper, and a flexibility that only a correctly placed voice can achieve. I love the care on entries, such care and love of your art filled my soul with emotional admiration." The whole letter is much longer, and after I read it I was left completely speechless. Thank you to the MLEF. What fantastic work they do in supporting young singers! x
